Registration

When you register at Praktijk Speelkracht, I invite you for an introductory meeting. This meeting is free and without obligation. I think it is important that you find a therapist who fits you, because I believe this has a big impact on the success of a treatment and the trust you have in it. After registration I will send you an introductory form. You bring the completed form with you to the introductory meeting. After the meeting you get time to think about whether this is the place where you want to be helped. After a few days I will contact you to see if I can do something for you. If you prefer, you can bring a parent or guardian to the meeting.

Treatment

If you want to start drama therapy, you need a referral from your family doctor or your youth advisor from your municipality. With the letter of referral I apply for an order from the municipality so that your program can be reimbursed under the Youth Act. When your municipality agrees with the treatment we can start. This usually takes one to two weeks. After that you are in treatment, often the treatment takes 25 weeks to 1 year. An appointment takes 60 to 90 minutes and is usually once a week. At the beginning of your treatment program I will write a treatment plan with goals and a treatment agreement. Together with you (and possibly your parent/guardian) we will discuss how you are doing and do a final evaluation to make sure that together we achieve your goals.

You can come to Praktijk Speelkracht if you get stuck. The reason of getting stuck can have different causes. For example because of dramatic events, traumatic experiences but also because you do not understand your feelings or have depressive feelings.

I would like to help you further by exploring who you are and what you do. Together we think about how you think, what kind of feeling goes with it and what kind of behavior you express. By making these processes transparent, understanding is created and space is created to develop new, healthy behavior, including your feelings and thoughts.

Cooperating partners & Reimbursements

As of April 1, 2022, it is unfortunately no longer possible for new applications under the age of 18 to receive reimbursement from the Youth Act. New registrations will have to pay for drama therapy independently, and in some cases may receive a partial reimbursement from health insurance.

Rates independent dramatherapy program

An introduction is always free of charge and without obligation.

  • Individual dramatherapy session: 100,-

Dramatherapy is (partially) reimbursed by a number of health insurers from a supplementary package. Drama therapy then falls under professional therapy and therefore under alternative medicine. I am a member of the FVB. Want to know if you can get a (partial) reimbursement from your (Dutch) health insurance? Go to zorgwijzer.nl and search for your insurance and package. Does it say under the conditions: ‘Only via FVB’ or is there no condition mentioned? Then you can get a (partial) reimbursement from your additional package.

After each appointment you can pay by pin. If you want, you will receive an invoice. You can submit this invoice yourself to your health insurance company. If a (partial) reimbursement is available, the health insurer will pay this to you.

NB. Appointments that are cancelled within 24 hours before the start will be charged at 50%.
